Faceless affiliate marketing can be totally unpredictable. Sometimes the money rolls in. Sometimes you do everything right but nobody buys anything.
We are in a bit of a holding pattern at MAP right now. The original time between Phase 2 and Phase 3 was supposed to only be a month. But then, just when it looked like they were ready to start, software glitches started to show up in the last two segments.
When they inspected it more closely, they realized it was a lot bigger undertaking than they originally thought it was. So they have had to try and hire more programmers. It is difficult to find programmers who are right for programming this kind of software.
Their team is close-knit and it has been hard for them to find someone who fits into the team. So 30 days has become 3 months. We are stuck in phase 2.
Stuck in Phase 2: a Blessing and a Curse.
Phase 2 is really great, but it cost $800. For that $800, which is called becoming a MAP Backer, you get a lifetime platinum membership with 75% commissions. It is a great bargain right now because when phase 3 kicks in, it is going to cost $800 a year or $97 a month.
Experienced marketers who know about founders John Thornhill and Omar Martin got in the moment they heard about this because they knew what a tremendous value they were getting. People who are really serious about this and took the time to investigate it also got in right away because they figured out the potential for making serious money.
Some people who are caught up in the excitement of the affiliate marketing 2024 movement also got in right away. Ironically, though, the people who could benefit the most from this revolutionary program are the people who are the least likely to spend $800 without any guarantees. We are talking about newbies.
The Newbie’s Dilemma
When you are totally new to this, you’re probably getting pulled in way too many directions. people promise $1,000 a day for a $17 product. If you look at too many sales pages for too many products, or you look at too many emails from people who are all telling you how much money you’re going to make, it creates a false equivalency of products. In other words, the $17 product looks as valuable as the high ticket product.
Low ticket products promise the same results as high ticket products and newbies tend to wonder why on Earth they should pay for a high ticket product when the $17 product is offering them the same results in their sales page.
Well, here’s why.
Your $17 product is going to be a 50,000 foot view and it is going to be DIY. Some of these products are very good. But you usually have to be coming in with some knowledge beforehand.
Most of the people who are creating products have been doing this for a long time. no matter how much they try to act like a newbie when they are trying out the product, they are not newbies. They have a much better knowledge base.
The real value in any of these products is in the upsell. The usual steps of the value ladder are done with you and done for you. The top of the ladder will have the high ticket product which involves actually teaching you the fundamentals and the Advanced Techniques that you need if you want to succeed in being an affiliate marketer.
So the Newbie gets caught in a never-ending cycle of buying cheap product after cheap product and never moving up the value ladder because they are afraid to spend the money it costs to learn the business from the ground up.
What does any of this have to do with my “Why?”
Right now, it almost feels like everybody who is going to take advantage of phase 2 has already taken advantage of it. I don’t want to abuse my list, and I can only tell them so many times from so many different angles why it would be to their advantage to join map in Phase 2.
In Phase 3, we are going to have an entry level to map. It will be free. And MAP will market to everyone I send to them on my behalf, as they will to your people when you send them. From my experience, I believe Phase 3 will be the most profitable product launch of 2024.
But I can’t market Phase 3 yet and I am stuck in Phase 2. I personally think Phase 2 is the best opportunity, but I know that a lot more people will take advantage of Phase 3 because of its free level. They will also have a lower monthly fee which will be three levels.
So basically, I have run into a bit of a slump. I cannot get anyone else to join me in phase two yet. I have offered a 4-tier bonus including personal coaching and I still can’t find anyone else to take advantage of it yet. It’s because there is no low ticket, entry level product in Phase 2.
And that finally brings me back to my Why. Whenever you feel that your results are not commensurate with the amount of work you are putting in, you have to remember your Why.
My Why is because I want to create a sustainable income and only work 15 to 20 hours a week in the mornings, leaving my afternoons and evenings free to do whatever I want. I also want to be able to work from wherever I want. I also want to have as many great experiences with my partner as I can while we can still enjoy them.
I am getting older and I really want to get the absolute best out of the years I have left. The older we get, the more we realize that. Nothing is guaranteed. Anyone could drop dead tomorrow. Even if you’re young.
What is your Why?
So, whether you are just starting out or whether you have been doing this for a while, it is important to find your Why. Why do you want to do affiliate marketing? If you can answer this question effectively enough, affiliate marketing can become your mission.
And once faceless affiliate marketing becomes your mission, you become unstoppable.
To Your Success,
