My New MAP Strategy
I am changing my main approach for driving traffic to MAP. I have been focused solely on getting traffic through solo ads and a few people who have watched some of the videos on my Faceless Affiliate Journey YouTube channel.
I started thinking seriously about YouTube because a total rookie came out of nowhere toward the end of last year and has made over $50,000 with MAP so far. He has achieved most of this with a YouTube to Facebook Messenger hybrid.
I will probably explore having a page that is only for my business, but I really don’t like using my personal Facebook account for business at this point. I am a musician and, if I want to be honest about it, a bit of a misfit. So, go figure, my friends are a bunch of musicians and misfits. Along with these would be family members and people who have known me since I was a teenager.
I have a lot of fun with these people, but I do not want to mix business with pleasure in this way. It is not good for the business side and it is not good for the personal side.
I am a believer in paid traffic. Yes, I am trying to build up an organic traffic Source or two, but just paying for your traffic is infinitely quicker. And once you do find the right fit with paid traffic, you can scale easily just by paying more money and getting more traffic.
Why YouTube Ads for Promoting MAP?
I did something creative during a moment that was an equal mix of curiosity and desperation. I asked Chat GPT 4.0 what would be the most effective paid ad source and it told me YouTube ads. The reasoning is that it tends to draw people who are much more motivated than any other form of advertising right now. Targeting is also more precise.
If I were to hazard a guess, it would be because the lazy, unmotivated people filter themselves out. By the time someone has finished a YouTube video and is ready to click, they have searched, watched a 30 second to 1 minute video, and decided to click. This probably makes them more likely to go through the opt-in process and the three steps it would take once they have decided they want more information.
Anyway, I am looking forward to trying YouTube advertising. They are now owned by Google ads. I was able to sign up to get help and they were amazing. They are going to set up an ad campaign for me free of charge. Since Google is notoriously difficult to get a hold of and talk to a human being, I was stunned at having an hour to talk to one of the ads management people.
Right now, it really appears that YouTube ads want your business and want you to succeed. But then again, I thought the same way about solo ads. While I was able to make a little bit of money, I was never able to recover the money I actually spent getting alleged human beings.
I have found out that some solo ad providers actually pay people to click on emails or get their traffic from people who are paid to click on emails. Apparently, the ads that say “get paid to surf the Internet” or “get paid to open emails” are actually legit, if you don’t mind getting paid to scam people.
Anyway, this provides way too much junk traffic. I’m not accusing any solo ad provider of anything at this point, but the old projections of being able to make a dollar a person off of everyone on your email list are horrendously wrong at this point.
Basically, I tried solo ads for a year from someone who teaches marketing extremely well and it simply didn’t work out. I did notice the math: out of about 50 to 75 people in his high ticket mentorship group, only two or three were succeeding on a regular basis. Everyone else was struggling and being patient. I decided a year of being a patient was long enough.
Why Master Affiliate Profits (MAP)?
This is an easy answer. The bulk of the money I have made so far has been from Master Affiliate Profits. They have done everything they have said they would. They have proven to be honorable people to work with. They don’t ever lie to anybody in their emails or on their sales pages.
And when you represent them, they do not allow you to misrepresent or lie in any way either. They do things right and a lot of people are making money with them. They have an entire ecosystem where they do the marketing for 90 days and all we do is drive traffic.
I am fully on board. and I will be sending traffic with a simple structure: Traffic > Opt in form > bridge page > MAP. When people join map, I take them off of my mailing list for 90 days and allow map to do their job. If they sign up to my list and don’t join map, they will get a lot of marketing for me asking them to join.
As you may know from Reading this, I also promote other products from time to time, so they will get emails about those products too.
That is it for today. By next week, I should have a campaign up and running, done for me by the YouTube ads crew. I’ll post again when that happens.
To your success,
Steve
