There are some fundamental ethics that apply to affiliate marketing. You should never sell a product that you would not buy yourself. And if you haven’t ever bought high-end coaching, you shouldn’t sell anyone’s high-end coaching.
Why would anyone want to listen to you sell someone’s high-end coaching product if you were too cheap to buy it?
Everyone I know who is successful at affiliate marketing, everyone who sells high-end coaching products, learned it from somewhere.
There is a universal story that almost every successful affiliate marketer and coach tells. They spent a lot of money and got nowhere. They tried to figure it out themselves and it didn’t work. So they bought a lot of products and that didn’t work. Then they spent money on high-end coaching programs.
Sometimes the first one worked. sometimes they had to go through three or four before it clicked in. Meanwhile, they got to the point where they didn’t have enough money and were leveraging their credit cards. Their partners or spouses lost faith and almost left them. But they kept going. And just before everything was about to crash, it finally worked.
I’m not saying that’s how it always has to be. I’m not saying it ever has to get that way for you. I’m not saying it is ever going to get that way with me, though it has felt close to that sometimes.
But what I am saying is that you can take a big slice out of your affiliate marketing learning curve and make it happen for you a lot faster if you go to the top of that value ladder and get the coaching you need right now.
That is exactly what I did when I decided to go to Breakout University. I have to make a disclaimer here. It is not really a university. Breakout University is a coaching product from my mentor, James Fawcett. But universities will never teach you the amount of practical knowledge that James will teach you.

Before I talk about Breakout University, I do have to mention that another one of my biggest flaws is that I tend to get distracted too easily. I don’t give up on purpose, but that seems to be the ultimate result.
It’s like jokingly telling someone who is not playing a sport very well to take two weeks off and then quit all together. Except that is almost exactly what I did. The only saving grace was that I never fully gave up on the dream of being able to do this. Despite having almost as many failures as Thomas Edison and his famous quest to create a light bulb, I kept plodding along.
This can get expensive, but because you’re only spending small amounts of money at one time, you don’t fully understand how expensive it is until you do your taxes at the end of the year.
Ultimately, if you buy five or six cheap products a month, you will find a way to spend as much as it costs to find coaching and do it right.
When I finally decided to do it right and jump to the top of the value ladder as quickly as possible, it changed my life forever.
I am not making a living at internet marketing yet, but I did pull in a profit of about $600 last month. At the very least, that is a car payment for most people. And I’ve only been doing it seriously for a little over 4 months.
The Learning Curve and the Tipping Point
Because I want to do everything myself, my learning curve tends to be slow. But I decided to take a self-inventory and figure out a strategy for sustainable, long-term success. I also tend to be impatient, so my strategy had to be more of an “all in one” approach with a roadmap toward a predictable, sustainable income.
Since I joined Breakout University, I have become very good at some things I wasn’t all that good at. I got caught flat-footed on launch day for a product and built my own funnel on Systeme in a half hour, complete with an email sequence. I was able to make a few sales. I now understand the mechanics of building an email list with solid leads. I also understand the importance of writing honest emails that don’t get caught up in the spam folder.
But most of all, we receive so much support there that I am starting to feel unstoppable. I am starting to feel like I have finally reached the “tipping point” that I have worked so hard to reach.
It is estimated that 99% of those who try affiliate marketing never make $1,000. I am one good sale away from that as I write this. I see this as a huge victory.
I also know $1000, though it doesn’t seem like much nowadays, is a big tipping point. And the growth is usually exponential from there.

The moral of the story: you are never so successful and so intelligent that you don’t need coaching.
